I beleive that people are by nature neutral and that are education as children will define what we view as being good actions or bad actions. Thus if you were to educate a child to accomplish only bad actions, he would probably view those actions as being the right ones for him to pursue. (This is based on my thoughts after having seen Blood Diamond and Invisible Children.)
I don’t know. This is something I have an idea on, but would love to read others’ comments on.
What I think is this.. Deep down, way deep down, we are animals.. primal. Animals.. With basic needs. Food, clothing (if it’s cold), and shelter. Now we’re a much more advanced society, and our basic needs are mostly met in this country.
Now how about if they weren’t met? What if there was a shortage of food/water? Would people start to get violent to be able to have access to food and water? If they were violent, and killed or hurt people to survive, what does that mean? That they’re bad? Or it is just the survival instinct kicking in?
I’m not talking about a power outage for a week where food goes bad and people are running low. I’m talking about collapse of industry.. collapse of the country as we know it.. maybe a bomb.. an attack, environmental disaster.. something on a huge scale.
I would say that humans are fundamentally inclined or conditionned to think that good things should happen to them but most of the time develop bad intentions or motives that brings them the contrary.
I think it’s all about finding balance between good and bad intentions at the root of any human decision.
Voluntary and Consciously Evil Actions often emerge from very Intelligent People Mind. We shall make sure to nurture this awareness of Good and Bad Intention Balance in all Spirits we meet on our Life Path.
